Loved sleeping on it immediately., November 28, 2011 This review is from: New Coronado Supreme 550 Memory Foam King Mattress by Elizadora Ardonette (EA) Couldn't give 5 stars because it took 2 1/2 weeks to get here but otherwise I love this bed. Ordered entire beds before and it only took at the most 1 week. Have had it now for over a year. Inflated to full size within minutes. Loved sleeping on it immediately. I was tossing and turning on an old, regular mattress and waking up every morning tired and with a sore back. Now, the soreness is gone and I'm sleeping better and requiring 1 less hour of sleep each day. It's much more comfortable with deeper sheets that allow for some give. If the sheets are too tight, it prevents sinking into the soft foam and defeats the purpose. There is no bounce in this bed, so turning requires the more deliberate act of rolling, rather than sort of throwing or flopping yourself to the side. I've raved about this to family and my mother purchased this same mattress the evening of 7/4 and it arrived 3 days later, even with free shipping. She slept on the bed the first night and loves it. This mattress arrived as advertised but my UPS guy had been chased and bitten by a dog at his previous delivery and he was still pumped when he got to my house. The mattress was in its very heavy duty plastic wrapper inside a cardboard box which appeared itself to have been bitten by dogs. He grabbed one end, dragged it off the truck and down my sidewalk. When he saw my cane he brought it from my porch into the entry way. Thank you. Nice guy.
We left it tightly rolled inside the plastic cover and together, my wife aged 50, and I aged 56, dragged it down to the bedroom. Surprisingly easy. Weighs about 120-140 pounds I guess. We positioned it on the platform bed and then cut the plastic wrapper off. Wowzers. It inflates, uh, quickly! I highly, highly recommend this mattress. Best sleep I've had in years!, October 22, 2011 This review is from: New Coronado Supreme 550 Memory Foam King Mattress by Elizadora Ardonette (EA) I was a bit hesitant about giving up my coil spring mattress for memory foam based on past experiences with a memory foam topper. While it was comfortable, it was like sleeping in a sauna - it trapped and retained body heat to the point where it was quite uncomfortable.
Well, it seems like that problem has been solved. I've not experienced any appreciable amount of trapped heat using this mattress. Granted, it's been pretty cold so the true test will be a few months from now, but so far I'm happy to report zero heat issues.
The mattress itself is very comfortable. It's hard to describe the sensation - it's both firm and supportive, but still gives way. I sleep sounder on this and don't wake up nearly as often as I did on a coil spring mattress (even though the coil spring was a high-end model). It is especially good when I have a sore back -- it provides the support needed to alleviate soreness so it doesn't keep me up. Simply wonderful!
